Has anyone else noticed that there are a
helluva lot of great films out at the moment? And that there are a helluva lot
of (hopefully equally) great films coming up too? Well we have, and this
fantastic filmic feast can mean only one thing: it's trailer season!
I like trailer season. I really like it. Why?
Because for a film fan, there's nothing quite as captivating as a good teaser
trailer. A good teaser flirts with the idea of the film...it hikes up it's
flimsy skirt revealing a glimmer of a milky white thigh of a film, spiking your
interest like a heroin junkie skilfully pricking at her vein...and that thigh
and that needle sends temperatures (fan forums and social networks) soaring,
soaring along with our levels of anticipatory arousal, leaving us with an un-ignorable
hard on for the visual orgy to come (pun intended)! This is the sum of a good teaser trailer, and
that's all there is to say.
